Gay Pride Parade Photography, Chicago Style by Diane Alexander White

I was forwarded notice of this opening which I find particularly interesting, especially since Chapter 12 titled The Parade in Shikahgoh Stories Shikawgoh Stories is about a woman who photographs the Pride Parade since she was dragged to it many years ago.

Check this opening out.

So take care of yourselves sisters.

I had someone ask me why the female characters in the books I write are all so strong.

"Because we are," was my answer.

Dune

Someone asked me on Twitter how the book Dune was. They said they had never heard of it.

I told them it was good but that it could easily lead to the next book and the next book and the next.

I tried to imagine a life so removed they had never heard of it.

ebooks. Reading them has never been easier

If you want to read a book that's only on Kindle but you don't have the device, there are free apps on Amazon for most platforms  http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=sd_allcat_karl?ie=UTF8&docId=1000493771

NEW RELEASE Shikahgoh Stories Shikawgoh Stories

I am very pleased to announce the ebook release of Shikahgoh Stories Shikawgoh Stories, a collection of Short Stories about Chicago.

There are thirteen short stories from various points in time living in Chicago.

I know I know, why 13 stories? Well, 13 has always been a lucky number for me. Twelve just doesn't roll of the tongue like thirteen, hence 13 stories.

Of course it is available on Smashwords and Amazon ONLY for now until ever other store is processed and receives it, but it is on sale for ONLY $.99.

ShiKAHgoh Stories - ShiKAWgoh Stories. No matter how you pronounce it, living in Chicago is bizarre.

I hope you give it a read.

Feel guilt about print

I feel guilt about print. I am torn between even publishing any further books in print or not.

I am addicted to reading books now in ebook formats, be it on an iPhone or iPad or Kindle or on any device with a Kindle app.

I find it convenient to have a library of books in my hand, in my bag traveling with me everywhere.

Where does the guilt come in?

Well for me that is a no brainer. On this incredibly shrinking world inhabited by a species that cannot control its breeding, that assaults the environment at every level because of its own lack of control of itself, violating it everywhere for profit rather than need, (uhm that would be humans btw), I can not, in good faith, agree to publish in print again. At least that is how I feel NOW, and I think that will not change but rather intensify as time goes by.

So, if you have not already given ebooks a try, then please do.

Do it because it is a marvelous way to read.

Do it for the convenience of it all.

Do it because it costs less.

Do it for our Mother and ONLY home which is to say do it for US ALL.
