Mothers

I find myself thinking more about my mother than in years past since losing her. She's been gone a while.

Thinking about her makes me think about all mothers, indeed about all women, who sacrifice so much at their own expense to bring another human into the world, to love and care for that human many times through great hardships.

We really did learn the meaning of most that is good in all of us from our mothers whether we realize it or not.

Thinking about mothers simply brings to light the plight of women all over this mixed up planet, women who are still being mistreated, being abused, being treated as anything but an equal part of human existence, who are being raped and murdered.

If humanity is to change in time to insure its own survival as a species on this planet it finds so easy to harm at the expense of so much wonderful life, it can ONLY do so if it embraces woman as the true treasure they are. It will NEVER come as long as women are treated as anything less than equal. It will NEVER come until women and the knowledge, beauty, compassion, vision and love they offer are embraced and accepted as the real reason humanity has come this far and exists at all.

Happy Mothers Day to All Mothers and all women everywhere.

Let us ALL, men and women alike, love and respect our Mother and ONLY home who gives us ALL life.
